The tour generally happens every 3 years but it depends on circumstances. I have asked the tour host to reach out to you and give you more information as you may still be able to join the tour in 2025. Please note the tour is for members only or if you must be accompanied by a family member that is a GHGA member. If you are not a member, sign up today.
I just signed up for a family membership, looking forward to read the newsletter. I am trying to get information about my father, Albert Stonitsch, he immigrated to Chicago before WW II. Please send me information on your next tour to Gottschee.
My sister and I are interested in taking the tour. Are there still places available. I was on the tour 9-10 years ago and really enjoyed it. We are descendants of Sophie Auer Nee Schober from Reuter. If the tour does not go to Tchermoschnitz and Reuter, we would like to rent a car or hire a driver and visit these locations. I am a new member. I am interested in obtaining a map of Gottschee with the villages identified.
I have received information from Barry Deutschmann back in 2012. I am now retired and able to research my family history. Is he still active with this group?
We are planning a trip to Semic in July 2025 and would like to visit the Kocjeve area. Any information to help with planning this trip would be helpful. Are there guides available that would be willing to help us out?

Is this tour still on for summer 2025? I tried to go several years ago but husband said we couldn’t afford it. I’m now a widow and can afford it!! Please let me know – thank you!!
Hi Rita, At the present time we are not having a tour in 2025 but may look to doing future tours in the coming years.
