Registration Fee: $25.00 payable to GHGA. Please register by June 11.
The morning session will include speakers on the early history of Gottschee,
the history of Gottscheers in Kansas City area, and traditional ethnic food.
View the 1936 videotape of Gottscheers in their home villages, made from
the original film of Monsignor Trapp, a priest from Cleveland, Ohio,
who visited the Gottscheer homeland in the summer of 1936.
The afternoon session features a genealogy workshop with focus on the marriage and
baptismal records of Gottscheers from the 1700s through 1941,
Gottscheer songs, a brief annual membership meeting, and
videotapes of the 2008 tour to the former villages of Gottschee in Slovenia.
